How to choose the first sample route
Start with garment style
Jackets, trousers, vests, coveralls and outdoor utility garments have different expectations for movement, seams, reinforcement and fabric weight.
Map the work movement
If the wearer mainly stands, walks and performs routine tasks, TC may be enough. If the wearer climbs, kneels or reaches repeatedly, stretch deserves earlier testing.
Separate comfort from compliance
A comfortable fabric is not automatically compliant. Visibility, finishing, test evidence and finished-garment construction still need their own review.
Checklist before requesting swatches
- Target garment: jacket, trouser, vest, coverall, protective clothing or outdoor workwear.
- Movement requirement: low, medium or high movement range.
- Material direction: TC woven, weft stretch, four-way stretch, coated, laminated or knitted route.
